Yes, I have had a friend that thought she was pregnant, and was put to ease when her period came, all the while when she went to the doctor, it turned out that she was pregnant.
It does happen but not often, if it is very frequent, then there is a problem.
Hope this helped!

NO. You cannot have a menstrual period and still be pregnant. Any bleeding you may experience while pregnant, is just that, bleeding, NOT a period. This is why: your menstrual period is caused by the lack of a fertilized egg and the pregnancy hormones caused by the fertilized egg. During this menstrual period, the linine of your uterus is shed. The lining of the uterus, the endometrium, is what the fetus attaches itself to during the pregnancy. If you have a menstrual period while pregnant, it means you have miscarried.

" About once a month, the uterus grows a new, thickened lining (endometrium) that can hold a fertilized eggClick here to see an illustration.. When there is no fertilized egg to start a pregnancy, the uterus then sheds its lining."

Not only this, but pregnancy stops ovulation, which stops the need for a menstrual cycle leading to a menstrual period for the duration of the pregnancy. No matter what any of these idiots tell you, you cannot have a period and still be pregnant, it is impossible. If you don't believe me ask your doctor.

No no no no. Women who are pregnant will discreet a small amount of brownish red tinged discharge. It is not blood. It is from the embryo being implanted. A lot of women will have this discharge and it is not blood or any part of the lining of your uterus. If a woman has a heavier discharge that she is sure is blood then she needs to go to the ER asap. No lining or blood should come out of a woman after she is pregnant. The reddish brown discharge is just secretions from implantation and is nothing to worry about. It is 100% normal to have in pregnancy. For more info you can go to webmd.com and look up any article on it.

It is possible but not likely since the baby is there in your uterus and needs all the lining as possible.
