Wear formal black pants, a formal shirt and a single colored tie. If it's a little bit more formal, then you could wear a suit.

Wear something casual but yet dressy; something classy like a pair of khaki slaks with a gray or black sweater with nice shoes is always a go-go.
But, if you want to go extra formal, go with a tuxedo or a classy suit.

well you should consider what your gf will wear..simply to have at least combination and good feedback with those who will see you together. if she wears gown with an oriental style, wear a colored barong in chinese collar. If gown for all occasions a coat n tie would do..plus be particular withhe the color of your gf's dress...

A SUIT, SHIRT AND TIE AND REAL SHOES AND SOCKS. CHECK WITH THE OTHER GUYS TO SEE IF THEY'RE DOING TUX'S OR NOT. THAT'S USUALLY FOR PROM IN THE SPRING. HAVE FUN.
