Titanic... a brave Irish mom is laying in her bunk, arms wrapped tightly around her frightened children, comforting them as icy water rises in their cabin... while pompous aristocrats step casually into lifeboats and sip brandy. James Cameron has a gift. I don't cry easily, but at that moment I had no choice.

I cried during the Prince of Tides when Tom (Nick Nolte) is telling Dr. Lowenstein (Barbra Streisand) about his childhood and this really tramautic event. I don't want to give up the details but it's a great movie. It's based off a book written by Pat Conroy and I highly recommend it.

In the movie Animal House when the Dean puts the Delta house on "Double Secret Probation". I mean, they didn't actually get shut down until later, but once they were on double secret probation you pretty much knew what was coming so it was sad.
It was also sad when the campus cops were removing everything from the Delt house - even the stuff they didn't steal - and they drop a bottle of alcohol right in front of Blutarski. The tortured look on his face was just too much to take...

Bridges over madison county when Maryl Streepe is sitting in the truck with her husband and Clint Eastwood is in the car in front of them it's all rainy and she just wants to jump out of the truck to Clint Eastwoods arms. I know it's cheesy as hell but that made me sob. Even being a girl there hasn't been a lot of movies that have made me sob like that.

oh man....The movie Crash has one of the saddest scenes.
When the dad comes home from work and his little girl runs out to him. The little girl is running out to protect him because she has the "magic rope". So the guy from the convenience store that got hate crimed is going to shoot the guy who just came home from work. As the little girl runs to the dad and jumps on his arms. The convince store owner shoots right to the back of the girl. (I wont give up what happens for those who haven't seen it)
It is a sad sad part. (for those who haven't seen it, you have to pay attention to the beginning of the movie to understand that part. You can't just watch it from the middle like some movies.)

The movie, "Corinna Corinna," when the widower is asked where his wife is by a delivery man. Caught off guard, he says she's in the bath.
His little girl overhears this and joyfully runs to the bathroom to see her mom, only to find the bathtub empty.
