It is a very frustrating phase infants go through. You just have to go through it with them is the problem.

Try having twins who refuse to drink their bottle.

If you have anymore questions, check out BabyCenter.
Here is the link to that question about refusing to eat.
Hope this helps you some...

mine didn't but a reason could be that this is around the age where many people start to give children juice to drink and once a child tastes the sweetness of juice milk just isnt as good and some may start to refuse drinking it...if this isnt the case then maybe you should cal the doc.

We need more information like was your baby previously on breastmilk then you tried to move it to formula? If that is the case, babies that are around 3 months or more have developed taste buds and if you are trying to change their formula, sometimes they don't like the way it tastes. I tried putting my baby on different formulas when she was 2 1/2 to 3 months old and she totally rejected them. She had colic and reflux and the doctors recommended the Ailmentum and Nutramigen. If you have ever tried those formulas, you know they taste like throw up. I eventually went back to Nestle Good Start and she was happy after that.

At that age they are ready for some baby food, so they might cut back on the milk if their mouth is tasting something else yummy

What exactly are you referring to? Formula or breast milk or cow's milk? (Babies aren't supposed to have cow's milk until they're one year old.) Hopefully if your baby is refusing the bottle or breast he or she is getting nourishment from solid foods, but I'd still call my doctor ASAP if I were you. Your baby may have an allergy and need to switch formulas.

Around six months, the world is jsut so interesting...

Many babies have trouble concentrating on eating at around this age. They'd rather look at everything going on around them than nurse.

It's normal, and will pass. In the meantime, try to find quiet, calm, dim places to nurse, so there are fewer distractions.

I havent heard of such an instance when they refuse... Babies take milk as long as you give it to them. But you should introduce solid foods at this age.

They don't.

Are you saying your child is refusing?

SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Most 6 month olds still needs breast milk or formula.

Mine doesn't, if you're giving him/her juice then yeah maybe but honestly it sounds like your baby is sick or ready to drink solely from a cup.
