The best way to treat a boil is to use hot compresses as often as you can. This will soften it and bring it to a head which is what needs to happen. Tomorrow go to the pharmacy and buy a tube of icthimol ( spelling may be wrong) or black salve and use it between the compresses. This salve is a drawing agent it pulls the infection to the surface as well as softens the skin. It hurts like heck to have a boil.
They are caused by bacteria. Don't sit on public toilets and keep yours clean. Keeping the boil clean as well is important and wash your hands thoroughly after you touch it. When it gets ready to pop just bandage with gauze or clean cotton because it will be messy. Continue the hot compresses. you can use a washcloth in a baggie(open) and heat in microwave to the temp you can take.Probably less than 2 min.Wrap that in another cloth that is damp with warm water and use the baggie one over and over....the other one will have to be careful with since it will be touching the boil. Keep it clean and use antibacterial ointment after it opens up and keep it soft so it doesn't close until it is better. It needs to dry up then.
If she has these in more than one arm pit, it may not be cysta at all. That's where the lymph nodes are. so, think about the problem, does it look like cysts....If they are under both arms and are big, soft and not red and don't hurt like a cyst would, she must see a Dr. right away. Please.

It soumds very much like boils. If it is: Ask your doc to culture the pus. Beg hir if necessary! It's especially important to have the culture done if you've had surgery or been hospitalized before this started, because some germs are resistant to some antibiotics, and can be picked up more easily in hospitals than in the community. Then ask about an Rx for an antibiotic to which the bug (it's probably some kind of staph infection) is sensitive. You should also ask for Bactroban ointment to put in your nose twice a day for 5 days each month until the tube is empty. People often have a colony of staph living in the nasal passages. These usually don't cause any problems, but recurrent boils, abscesses--what you described--are one of the problems they certainly DO cause. I suffered from boils all over the place, and each time I had one treated, they'd lance it, put me on antibiotics, it'd go away, and one or two weeks later another would pop up. This in SPITE of the fact that I kept insisting that I had a history of a resistant bug. ~sigh~ It took several years--because of insurance--to get to someone who would listen to me. I did the research and knew what treatment I needed, but ~I~ can't write a script, so I had to wait until I was hospitalized with shaking chills 'til I finally got the treatment I needed. You feel somewhat foolish whining about a little infection, but those suckers hurt REALLY bad, and the fact is, they are dangerous. I haven't had another since the treatment in December. Be persistent, bug the docs, do some research at REPUTABLE sites, and good luck. Meanwhile, warm, wet compresses for pain, wash your hands constantly, keep your fingers off the owies (yeah, right, but you should) and call the doc again.

Antibiotics are often the best way to get rid of cysts.
But to bring the cyst to the surface use warm to hot compresses.
Do not squeeze on the cyst as this forces the pus into healthy tissue. Sterile the area and a needle and break the skin in the whitest area.
Also a physician can extract it with a needle, but rarely do this because cysts usually go away on there own.

Apply heat like everyone said, but be very careful - popping a boil by yourself can lead to more boils, as the bacteria that is expelled can "land" on another part of the skin, causing another one to form. It can happen without you really noticing it to, so be very careful if you must do it. But they hurt when you pop them.
Frequent boils are usually caused by staph infections, by the way, so the best way to get rid of them would be to go to a doctor and get an antibiotic.

I had a cysts before, they are very painful and your mother must know that. They usually appear when I am about to get my period. Within a few days it goes away. However, I had a really bad one, in my left breast. I got very scare and went to the doctor, they did an utrasound and in fact it was infected, so they took it out. I not trying to scare you but if it's bad......go the doctor.
best of luck!

Heat will usually "draw out" the boil. But the best thing to do is get on some antibiotics to see if it will shrink. If it won't then the boil may need to be lanced. If it is really bad, she really needs to see her primary care! I hope this helped!

You have to have it surgically removed. You can't "pop" a cyst.
