If you've 'dated' both sexes, you're bisexual, no matter what state you live in! I live in VA and I'm bisexual ~ we're everywhere, nowadays. I haven't dated a chick in quite a while and I've even been married... to a guy, but that doesn't mean I don't still consider myself bi. All of my gay, lesbian, and bisexual friends claim that 'it just shows we're more evolved' as they put it.
I suppose wherever you both live in Texas, it might be safer for him to 'deny' it publicly for fear of being attacked on some dusty dirt road one day by a truck load of rednecks in one of those rusted old fords. Its sad in this day and age that the biggest jerks think that everyone elses sex lives are any of their business, isn't it?!
I digress.... from what you wrote, it sounds like this is the case; that it was more 'accepted' where he used to live, but not where he now lives.
The only time it really matters is when you're still in high school or something. When you're still in the 'testosterone factory' (high school), you can't chose who you have to associate with everyday and its easier when you finaly can chose more or less who you are around most often. He just has some reason that he doesn't want it to be a public topic and that is his right ~ just respect him ~ he'll talk when he's ready.

So what? I know a guy who is an interiro designer, not gay, just likes designing the insides of homes. Makes MEGA bucks doing it too. Well over $100,000.00 a year. Does that make HIM gay?

I know you've heard the old saying. IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK, AND TALKS LIKE A DUCK, THEN IT'S A DUCK!!!!!!!
And if this little fella is someone you consider a REAL friend
then you should really support him no matter who he has relations with. As you age you will really understand how
IMPORTANT friends and friendships are.

I would surely say yes bi and gay are the same in one. He just sounds like he can not admit it to his self. I lived in Florida and that is not normal not even there.

Technically i would say that he's gay, and he just isn't ready to come out and let the world know. So he dates both sex to cover it up.

Sounds like he's bi, not gay... and he wouldn't be the only bi guy in Texas.

Naw,

He just sounds a little queerly "festive" and jolly.

Leave him alone, hehe!

He's not strictly gay... From what you described he's probably more aptly described as bisexual
