11 years as the Yankees manager and he's only made the postseason every year with 10 division titles and 4 world championships. I mean, can we say SUCK!?

Of course, on any other team that track record would be good enough to earn him untouchable status, but it just doesn't cut it for America's team (or is it really God's team?).

Oh, I'm definitely over it, seeing how I loathe the Yankees. I tried my best to sound sarcastic, but apparently it wasn't enough.

Are people really that dense? I just told you that I was being SARCASTIC, yet I still get berated. Lighten up before you explode, people.

By the way, Georgie, I tried to find the other 43,009 questions about this but could not. And what is "chnave". Yes, the tigers beat the YANKEES fair and square. Everyone blames Torre because given a $200 million roster, he should have been able to motivate these guys a little better. Plus, everyone who is a baseball fan knows that it is no fun to play baseball or manage a team for George Steinbrenner when you don't win. Didn't he fire Billy Martin 4 or 5 times?

I for one am so ill of listening to approximately Joe Torre and the Yankees. Torre isn't and in no way has been an incredible supervisor. the only reason he has gained as much as he has is using the large salaried team he controlled. i don't care if he manages back or not, if he does enable it is an American league team. He appears like a advantageous individual, and replaced into able to handle George and the corporation. i assume in new york the place the team income is outrageous this is what makes a stable supervisor. the different supervisor in baseball would have gained like Joe. perhaps this is why he went to the Yankees , using fact his checklist formerly them replaced right into a dropping one.

I was from New York and never liked the Yankees but Joe Torre did bring them to the playoffs many times. No one says Bobby Cox of the Braves is a failure and they only won the world series once. Did you know that Joe Torre supports a battered women's shelter cause his mother was battered when he was a child/

Joe Torre has been a very good manager of the team that I really don't like. He has done his job well for 11 seasons.
I hope Detroit does well in the next few games and then sweeps the NL team!

So this is how you judge a man? By his status in baseball? Torre beat cancer. Torre was pretty good with the Cardinals as a player. I really can't think of anything bad he had to say about anyone. So what did you think of him when he was winning the titles? Pretty great wasn't he. If you were ever to be brave enough to say this stuff to his face instead of anonymously here he would give you a good lesson in respect. Your miserable and a poor excuse of a fan of baseball.

just out of curiousity what team did you go for? torre isnt a misreable failure he did lead them to 11 straight and most of problems they have had is the players not doing anything the only real problem with torre was the lack of firing up the players

torre is a miserable failure AND HIS TEAM is a miserable failure because he just sits around on the bench watchin the yanks get clobbered BUT DOESNT GET FIRED UP....torre needed to do somethin with arod "HIT THE D@MN BALL OR YOU CAN SIT ON THE BENCH!" that woulda worked better then...we support u

I dont know.

why are there so many questions about this?
it's not like 43,009 questions are enough.

Get over it.

The Tigers beat the yankees fair and square.

Looks like "americas team" is going to have to wait another 6 years before they even get a chance to go to the world series.

joe torre is not the failure, its his players. joe isnt the one dropping the balls and striking out at the plate. even his players are agreeing with this statement. plus 11 years is darn good!
