The same could be said of some blacks. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and similar others make every issue a race issue. Why do they make a racial issue of everything? If you can answer that, you will find the answer to your question.

I don't think it's a matter of people having something to hide. I think it's a matter of people just assume any time a question is asked about "white people" and "racism" that the asker has an adjenda. It reaches the stage where people don't actually read the question - as, apparently, they didn't read yours - so much as respond to what they assume the questioner means.
I've noticed that with men, actually. Any time the difference between men and women comes up, a lot of men automatically assume that they're about to be told what's wrong with men and what's right with women. Man-bashing has been such a popular sport for the last two decades or so that I think most men just assume the standard defensive position (except for the one who automatically cringe, but I'm not sure they should be called men) and hunker down. So, too, whites have been so systematically accused of racism (to the point where I think Lewis Farrakhan once said that only whites can be racist) that we sometimes respond defensively even when no offense is intended.
And I think that's a part of the answer to your original question. Some whites are so traumatized by perceived guilt over racist policies that they automatically assume the soi disant "moral high ground" any time anything even approximating race comes up. Think of it as the "don't hit me, I'm on your side" defense.

I think the politically correct way we like to be addressed is Caucasian. LOL!! I don't know why. I am finding that the teens aren't as racial, meaning that with races. My daughter is thirteen and she doesn't really have a clue about race differences. The only reason she is a little bit aware of racism is from TV.
Perhaps if you ask a question about a certain racial issue that occurred than maybe your answers would be more what you are looking for.

Out of your last 20 questions asked, 12 were racially themed. So why do some people make racial issues out of everything?

I can't answer for why people do what they do. I only think that if people are racist, regardless of their color, that they have to belittle others in order to make themselves feel superior. Racism causes separation of people and penalizes or criticizes those based on differences, which no one has any control over. Those people that "hate or segregrate" based on these differences are small minded pitiful people and should not be looked upon as speaking for the whole.

some white people feel as if they are the only race getting picked on for being racist...so they try to turn it around. I think it depends on who you are around...I have grown up around more blacks then white and I see the racist side of blacks more than white..the only white people I hang around are church people..and just lately work and school seems to be more white.

Biker is right. The leftists like to control anyone from expressing any point of view that doesn't go along with their agenda through labeling them as racist/chauvenist/homophobic/xenophobic, etc. The sad thing is that people are so easily brainwashed and intimidated that they allow themselves to be controlled by this. Their greatest fear is being given one of these meaningless labels. Basically, its like a Salem witch hunt for the 21st century.

It surprises me how people of any race are so quick to scream racism about simple comments that are clearly not racist. I this racism is actually at a all time low. Think back 40 years...

perhaps because it seems more a statement than a question...people get defensive when they feel that they may be being grouped into something that they don't stand for. yes you used the word "some"....but would you not have been somewhat defensive if instead of the word "white"...it was replaced with your own race?
what sort of answers were you looking for asking that?
