Id say Dwarf Hamster. They dont bite like everyone says. But since she is 3. A cat is a good pet.And they are good inside. unlike dogs!
Fish are boring. Dog are to much work. A Hamster is great but only if you 5-6 and older. I recomend a Cat. You could adopt a cat at a shelter that will be gentle with your daughter. If you get an older one it will more than likely be more cudely. But if you wanting a really playful active cat get a kitten.
We have 2 outside kittys that sleep in the garage. They are healthy and love to hunt. Sometimes my parents make them sleep outside. I hate when they do that!
I say u get a cat. They can be a good inside cat or a good outside cat!

Not enough info. Are you in a house or an apartment? Do you have a yard? Do you like reptiles? Just teach her to be gentle with whatever pet you decide to get.

How about a betta fish? They don't require much maintenance or money on your part, just water, food, a small tank, and water conditioner. She might not be able to pet it, but it still is pretty and comes in many ornamental colors.

Right now she'd be better off with a stuffed one. No offense, but she can't take responsibility for a pet right now.
