Yeah, but you have to clean them with jewlery cleaner. You can get that for a couple of bucks at any drug store or maybe even a grocery store.
You should clean them a lot anyway...they can get funky. I mean, stanky, FUNKY. Shampoo, soap, hair products -skin- and all kinds of stuff like that gets packed on the earring back and on the post that's in your ear. This usually happens when you wear the same pair...all the time, like when you first get them periced or if you have a steady pair you always wear, like in the second hole, etc. Just follow the ear pericer's directions, get a copy of them if you need to.
And if you ever want to borrow someone's earrings, just clean them before you wear them and clean them before you give them back! ;o)

One thing you should not ever do (even with your own sister) is share earrings. If you two share earrings, then you two will also share deadly bacteria that can cause permanent ear infections, or blood dissorders.
Also, once you're done wearing earrings, you should always clean them so you can be sure that your earrings are baceria free. Just by meeting with the air, steel mixes with bacterial defenses. That way you'll always be bacteria free!

If you choose to borrow her earrings than i suggest dipping them in alcohol first. This will keep your ears from being infected regardless of the fact that your sister's never did.

It's okay to wear otehr people's earrings as long as they're extra clean and washed well and scrub it well. My mom pasted down my older sisters earrings to me when I was smaller and I worn them for about five years so far but quit wearing them because I got new ones lol
