The game OPERATION. It is silly, fun, and annoying and would make a good topic.

What was your favorite toy when you were little? Do you still have it around?

Here's an idea... If I were writing this essay....
I am the oldest of 5 and the only girl. My brothers got all the coolest toys- Legos (A. got the castle stuff, K. got the pirates, D. got the Robin Hood, and S. got A's when A left home...), building blocks

I got dolls- baby dolls, Barbie dolls... One year for Christmas, I finally got the one I'd been wanting for oh-so-long- the bust doll- the kind that has the hair you can "do"... I could comb it, wash it, braid it, curl it.......

Well what was your first or favorite toy from your childhood? You could write about that and try to remeber the good times when you went on excavating adventures or something. My first toy was a stuffed rabbit. Her names were Bunny, Kelsie, Madeline and a bunch others. But I guess Bunny Kelsie stuck, cuz I still have her and I love her to death! I used to even bring her into the bath with me. Which by the way, made her color fade!!!

I would write about something that brings back a fond memory for you. Favorite childhood toys for me were some of the simple toys like Lincoln Logs which I used to use to build log cabins with my grandfather, or kites which I used to fly on my grandparent's farm. Good luck with your essay!

I like the cardboard box idea. My Dad would give us big ones and all 8 of us kids would find all kinds of creative things to do with them. Forts, houses, tanks (top & bottom opened up), puppet show stands, zoo cages with stuffed animals, cars, ventriliquist acts (my brother would hide inside and provide the voices0, etc.

Even now it brings back some fun memories. You may have some of your own memories of toys that put a smile on your face. Whatever those happy memories may be would be the best for your own essay.

Good luck and have fun..

Write about something you remember really well. The more impressions you can write in your essay, the better your grade will be. How about Lincoln Logs? Does that date me?

What about the sit and spin. Hours of entertainment, broken bones, vomit. Should make for a funny piece.
