i just want some opinions on whether you think Winston died at the end of 1984. Give some reasons too.

Remember, your opinions should be based on the 2nd last paragraph which is about Winston being shot in the back of the head, and whether or not he was just dreaming or actually being killed

At first I was gonna say the rats ate his face, but actually I don't think he does because he cracks in the end and becomes a part of their socialist government.
It's been a long time since I read that book.

No I don't think he did. I think they reprogrammed him to love BB. But it was a bit open to interpretation ... there was the possibility that one day the secret police would come for him when he least expected it and make him disappear.
