Not really. With serious questions/answers it seems like people pick the answer that matches with the asker's opinion/feeling. So I don't take it personally.
I have some long, thoughtful answers though and wonder if it's even worth it.
If I ask a serious question, I read all of the answers and give best answer to the one that challenges my gut reaction the most...without being ludicrous.

NO, because I have blown off some great answers for a really simple one that just made me bust out laughing, so I have to cut some slack when people do that to me....sometimes people are looking for , oh, who knows what, some days you fulfill that, some days you don't, no biggie.
It honks me off much more when they put it up to a vote and I lose out that way to a really bogus answer just because it was first on the list.

No. It is up to the asker to choose which answer is best. I think that obviously someone elses answer hit home for them more than mine did. It doesnt bother me at all.

i try to give the best answer i can when i am trying to help someone. it is stupid to do otherwise.
however when the occassion arises that i can be funny or sarcastic, i will be just that.
that is the nature of this entire site.
