If you mean with a car..... answer to #1 is yes. Answer to #2 is no. To avoid hitting a squirrel could cause dangerous consequences to you, your passengers or other motorist close to you.

My father in law hits them with a stick. He's always out squirrel proofing his nut tree - it's actually become a family joke. He offered the children $5.00 for each dead squirrel they bring him. I told the kids $5.00 was not enough $ and to charge him $25.00. The kids don't want to kill the squirrels - but they sure do like teasing their Grandpa about losing his nuts!

I don't remember hitting any squirrels.......I try to avoid hitting animals as best I can without putting anyone in danger.........

they walk around the branches in my garden everyday
and how do you hit a squirrel in the first place ,the only way i can think of is with an airgun ,this is hardly by accident
they dont usually walk on the road .or get in the way of my golf clubs

I only hit one squirrel in all my years of driving

and I actually hit it on purpose (to put it out of it's misery) ..... cuz a car ahead of me injured it first & it was flopping around in pain
