So come December I want to drag my husband to the opera....I'd like to see one in Boston...but I looked it up...I couldn't find anything other then the Nutcracker...which is more of a ballet?? Does anyone know of any actual Operas playing in Dec, in Boston that I could torture my husband with?? I think a ballet would just kill him...and Im not too into them myself either....thank you!

I'm not sure of what's actually coming to Boston, but I can give you names of the theaters, and you could check with them. The biggest theaters are The Wang or Boston Opera House. Also try the Majestic, Colonial or North Shore Music Theater. Best of luck!

Opera companies generally put on only about four different operas a year, and then for only a few weeks. The Boston Lyric Opera does not have an opera scheduled for December.
