How do you relieve PMS before it starts?
Every month I get mixed emotions.
One minute I'm happy then the next I'm either mad or sad.
I just need to know if there is a way to treat it?
Please Help...

PMS is real, but its a little difficult to treat. Getting lots of sleep and drinking lots of water helps. Regular exercise can be beneficial. Also, stay away from alcohol, sugar, and caffeine. You can take over-the-counter drugs such as midol up to several days before your period actually starts, which will help with some of the physical symptoms. But mood swings are best treated with rest, exercise, and a positive outlook. Good luck!

You can take a good multivitamin with all the B vitamins. B vitamins are usually low in women with PMS. Then make plans for it. don't plan on doing a lot of things that include being around other people unless they know you well and are used to your moods. Take Midol, it does get rid of fluid, relieves tension and makes the physical symptoms bearable. Exercise, or just take a walk, it's supposed to release good chemicals to the brain. Then, stay home, watch movies and eat Ben and Jerry ice cream.
Really, if you feel it is so bad that it harms your relationships with other people see your doctor and don't take any excuse for them not giving you something for it. It is a real medical condition and with some people it must be treated by a Dr. A woman GYN would be good, if you can find one. good luck.

some people take anti-depresants to relieve the symptoms talk to your general doctor. are you sure you are not biopolar?
