I think that what it takes to be a great model teacher is to really want to help others. To really beleve and take seriously what you teach is when the students will really want to learn from you. Expect your students to become better someday, better than you. Good discipline is good but always with respect and making them know who is in charge for everybody´s benefit.

!- One should be through in their subject. should be able to answer any question related to the subject
2- If you are unable to give proper answer, or u donot know the answer , u should have the guts to ask for some time and give the right and suitable answer the next day
3- should have a personality so that the kids are comfortable with you
4- At the same time kids should not take you for granted, they should respect you for your knowledge, discipline and caring nature

Know you subject and take time to get to know your students. Be firm but pleasant and listen to your students. Try to make your subject(s) fun to learn.
Remember how it was when you were a student and what it would have taken then to have liked your teacher and school in general.
