Someone just answered a question with their support for abortion because it is "practical". Talk about offensive. You can be pro-choice for whatever reason, but I just felt that the use of the word "practical" was pretty bad. how about "convenient" instead? Pretty much the same thing. Is that how you rationalize killing a child? I'm not asking for some hate answers, I am just looking for some explanation.

dstr ~ how wrong you are in some aspects. not all women face a "heart wrenching" decision as I am a transcriptionist and have typed on plenty of women coming in for their third or fourth abortion. That makes me sick. I understand sometimes it is necessary, but that is disgusting. you must agree?

Calee... i think ive said it before, I just feel sorry for you. jealousy has an ugly head. I'm not a teenager, I'm an adult and have every right to put whatever picture i want. there are much more raunchy ones out there. oh wait, is this something i can dish out, and you can't take?

Maybe they didn't want their child looking at your avatar?
I find three or four abortions from the same woman a little
hard to believe, since they cost anywhere from $10,000 to
$20,000 & are not covered by insurance.
Jealous? That photo could be of anyone. This is the internet.

I hate how many liberals look at this issue as if it is completely not the parent's fault for getting pregnant. Don't get me wrong there are some exceptions where abortion should be available (rape, incest, etc.), but abortion is in no way "practical". It is conenient for the common american. When this country was founded, our founding fathers believed in a concept called responsiblity. This concept has been lost amongst American society where people prey upon others and pursue their own personal greed over everyone else in society. There is no way to rationalize killing a child, whether it be unborn or not. So to answer your question; no, abortion is not practical.

No, I would not call abortion practical but more of an inconvenient convenience. Maybe the use of the word practical was used for the reason that it is easily available, and it is. So.......
And in defense of Calee, I don't think she is jealous of you, Calee is a smart girl and as far as your picture goes, it's not so much that it's inappropriate to put on a site that is so available to children but it is very tasteless. Sorry but my opinion.

No condoms are convenient, I can purchase them almost anywhere.
Abortion is a practical means of ending an unwanted pregnancy, where I live its also convenient with 3 abortion clinics that I can think of easily in the immediate area with a population of less than 250,000.

The problem is that the sides disagree on when life begins. Pro-choice people do not see it as "killing a child." The problem with the whole debate is that there is no magic day when the fetus goes from being a thing to a person. For the pro-life people, life begins at conception. For the pro-choice people, it's somewhere between conception and birth.
But, there is no way to say exactly when that is. The pro-choicers want each person to decide when it becomes a baby, and the pro-lifers want to decide for everyone.
This constantly turns into a game of words. You like "convenient" because it makes it sound more cruel. They used the word "practical" because it makes it more of a medical decision, and not a moral one.

Even the pro-choice people do not approve of abortion as a birth-control method. I have met women who have had four and five abortions merely for birth control. Would you believe that one of them was a guidance counselor at a college? I think this is outrageous.

convenient, practical, whatever you want to call it-I am so glad I live in a country where I get to choose my beliefs-and not have some other minded person impose there views on my life-its a vaginal scrape-not taking a life-it isn't a life in my book until it can survive outside the womb unassisted, and I can believe ANYTHING I want -including that all democrats should be spayed

You're doing the same thing you stated you don't like. You talked about how wrong it is to be inclusive. How do you know ALL women go through their third or fourth abortion? How do you know someone wasn't raped? Convenient? No. Not always...

sadly....more than 1/2 the abortions are paid for by welfare....they pay for abortion...that keeps the low income at a point....but if you find yourself pregnant and want the help...you can not have money till the baby is born...but you get medical....them thinking you will use it to get an abortion....but the gov wont help someone who needs some medical benefits....go figure...

Hey I say give out all the free abortions as possible, it is killing off the Democrats in great numbers. 4000 a day without even having to fire a shot, each and every abortion brings our country closer to a day when it will be safe from the Tyranical Left.

Hi Verde
What I can not understand about the Republican party is the conundrum a young pregnant girl facing this choice finds her self facing two social ills by the republicans.
(1) If she has gotten the abortion she has offended the party
(2) I f she has the child and has to draw welfare to support the child she is stigmatized by the morals of the republican party.
Like it or not women face a very heart wrenching decision here and Government sanctioned morality is not the answer.
edit:
yes ...but I answered your question as you laid it out. I would agree that any women seeking a second, third, etc; has other issues that perhaps a Physiologist would be more help to her.
