Concrete is sold by redi-mix by the cubic yard.
Square yard is up to you and how thick you want to pour. Sidewalks are usually 4 inches driveways 6 inches or more . Interstate 80 in Nebraska is 12 inches but most highways are 8 or 9 inches . Cost is determined by the number of sacks of cement . 6 sack is average . Around here 65 dollars a cubic yard but cost varies with the price of cement.

Call your local concrete company. Tell them the width, length and the thickness of the project you are working on. They will figure out how much you need, and will quote you a price. Get prices from several companies and compare.

It depends on where you live and how much you are buying. I had a slab put in over the summer and it was $100.00 per yard.
