If someone pricked you on the finger with a needle that had the HIV virus, would you cut your arm off to avoid the chance of being infected?

i think there would be a lot of people walking around without genitals if that was the case,lmao

nope...the infection would have already entered into the blood stream and would have gone through my arm and on to somewhere else before you could even have the chance to cut off your arm to save you from getting HIV....not only that but HIV is a retrovirus which means it reproduces very quickly and would have probably moved on to 3 or 4 cells by that time..

no what would that do. look at magic Johnson and his wife. he has HIV she does not they have a child together. so you would be walking around with one arm and no aids virus

only if i was sure i was infected, but is hard living with one hand only, i think i had to be in that situation.
