Because they crawl and fly, and can crawl in crevices in your body and lay eggs. They are gross looking and they come in large numbers. I have had a personal experience where a roach chased me down the hallway out of my room at a hotel. I hate insects, except for praying mantis's and bumble bee's.

Not me!
Ha, when I was younger, and my friends (who were also girls) would freak out about a bee, I would go and stomp on it or hit it with my hand. Never got stung before either!
I do get the freaks when I see a spider but I get over it quick then I go and kill it.
If I have the resources, I do occasionally put the bug in a cup and take it outside..I am not a total murderer..

What does waxing could do with being petrified of bugs? extra like, why are you able to puppy a canine yet be petrified of bugs? actually, bugs are disgusting, no person likes them. females are extra petrified of them nonetheless than adult males, yet bugs... tremendously spiders, are disgusting. human beings say that different all of us is petrified of what they do no longer understand. it rather is genuine, i do no longer understand what the spider is going to do and likewise how scared it rather is of me. I in basic terms are conscious of it HAS TO DIE.

dude, i eat ants... they're delicious. I also like to hang out with ladybugs, praying mantises, spiders, caterpillars, beetles, and grasshoppers.
Cockroaches are so cute too ^_^ (even if they are unsanitary)
My dad on the other hand is so afraid of spiders that he shot at one with his gun... no lie, and if there's a spider on TV he won't watch the channel until we check to make sure the spider is gone.
So, I'm not sure what you mean by your question...

they probably saw someone react negatively to bugs when they were younger and imitated the reaction when they saw bugs themselves. it's called observational learning.

The same reason why men don't read maps. Evolution has programmed us to be that way.
