Nope, there seems to be more to it than software. The Z520 has 4MB more memory and has something called Polyphonic sound. The Z725 features Push to Talk, while it looks like the Z520 doesn't. According to the site there are also more color choices on the Z520. Also it looks like you get better battery life on the Z520. only the software. Your cell provider can "flash" it and make it whichever medel you prefer. Will take about a minute at the store once the guy gets the phone plugged into the computer.
