If your life sucks, you will dream well. If you are happy, you won't remember your dreams. When I need some good escapism, I will look at something like a tunnel that I can't see the end of, or a door not opened, or a stange house that I wonder about. Looking at something with a little mystery or the element of the unknown will usually come out in my dreams, and weave into a wierd tale.(wierd is good to me) But it doesn't ensure a good dream. I don't know what does that. Other than a sucky life.

Best way is probably to fall asleep in a good mood, but there are others:

Sex helps! Masturbation works. If you smoke cigarettes, quit: you will have very vivid, colorful, and wacky dreams THE NIGHT AFTER YOUR FIRST DAY WITH ZERO CIGARETTES. If you smoke ganja and quit, same thingthe night after the first day you quit. But if you don't smoke ganja (this doesn't work with tobacco so DON'T use this an excuse to start again) or haven't for a few days or more, then you'll have vivid dreams the first time you sleep after you DO smoke.

What works for one does not necessarily work for another! You must utilize the word ensure very loosely as well, because ensuring anything is pretty much a fallacy (excluding death and taxes of course!)....Visualization before slumber is quite effective. The power of the mind is most boggling!! Good Luck!

Burn a white candle and meditate for a short while before you go to sleep. You might want to add a few drops of lavender oil on a piece of cloth and stick in between your pillow and the pillow case. Also, clear any clutter from under your bed. Good Luck and sweet dreams!

As a child i was told that if you plan during the day what you want to dream, and then think about it while you go to sleep, that you can affect what you dream. I don't remember if it worked everytime, but i know it did a few at least... I will have to try that tonight

well, from my own experience, the less stress you are under and not being on antibiotics or medication of any kind is a start.

in reality, that may just be when i recall the dreams i have that are bad... it is hard to tell. dreams are how your mind works things out in your life. its not completely understood and complex.
