Married men live longer than unmarried men.
Women live longer than men because they engage in less risky behavior and see the doctor more often so that when they are ill they go in earlier when disease is easier to cure. Real, hard, jobs, mean men in good physical condition unless they drink and overeat as long as they stay active they are OK, its only if they stop work and keep eating those enormous amounts do they run into problems. The age at which most women die is long past the age when they could be classified 'stay-at-home-moms'

This isn't necessarily true. The reason why that floats around is because women have a higher average life expectancy that men do, by about three years I believe. I don't think these numbers have anything to do with whether they are working long days or staying at home. I hope that's what you were looking for.

No that's not true if it was
there would be only women on the planet.
Death comes to every body when it's time.
Death is not picky nor it gives you a Date.
But you are warned that death will catch up with everyone sooner or later. regardless of your sexuality or race even past work history ,
I think you stress your self not excepting that this will happen regardless. But does not mean because of the stress over this mean you will die first then the husband.....or vise versa

Thats what the statistics show, women average about age 80, men a few years earlier than that to die. Why? Well it could be the stress of work, but women see their doctors more often, too, so they get alerted to problems earlier, when they are easier to take care of--before things get either difficult or impossible to treat. Plus men feel kind of obligated to have more unhealthy lifestyles--more meat, more smoking, more drinking. So it all adds up. You have to take care of yourself, and the earlier you start, the healthier you will be, man or woman.

Men die before their wives because women suck the life out of men.

It is a true statistic that women live longer than men, some attribrute it to the fact that it is more stressful for men to live with women than it is for women to live with men. Others attribute it the fact that during sex men must do all the work while women just lie there and relax.

It is true. Men have a more physically demanding life, which inturn takes a few years of their life. Although men are more prone to heart disease due to genetics, and selection of diet. While women have slightly less stranuous life, and look after themselves better.
But seriously... it's the bloody nagging.

Statistically, it's true that women generally live longer than men. This is true in all societies, including those where women work harder than men. So it's not about stress, it's about basic genetic make-up.
