A thesis statement summarizes your paper. For example, If I were to write about why people should wear jeans, an example thesis would be: People should wear jeans because it goes with everything, it is stylish and they are comfortable. Then "it goes with everything" would be your first body pgh & etc.

a thesis statement is the main argument in your essay. it's what you should base your entire essay on. when writing the essay, your goal is to support your argument (your thesis statement) as much as you can. good luck.

A thesis statement is:
-One sentence
-In the introduction
-Debatable
-Provable
-Also a pain in the butt!!!

It's pretty much the summary of the entire paper/research paper. Keep it concise, but it needs to be a nice lengthy paragraph long. You basically sum up what you are discussing in the paper.
