I don't think you are stopping your period forever.
You just need to talk to a DR or your mother. Periods can be irregular, and 2-3 day periods are not unusual.

Yes you will lose it one day. and baby will you be happy. you will probably be between the age of 45 and 55 years of age are a little older. all women go through what we call menopause. 2 to 3 days for your period could be very normal. you are still premature with having your period. sometimes young girls start and stop. nothing is probably wrong with you. but telling your mother are adult female that's responsible for you will help since you have concern. Now if you have slept with boy's you may have reason to be concerned. Pregnancy could be the problem. If you have not you are stressing yourself out for nothing. There are other factors, such as your diet, exercise, and rest pattern that can have an effect on your cycle. Take it easy and stop worrying about it. Remember what I said at the beginning. The day will come you will be happy it's all over. Love it now. feel like a woman. be a woman with Lady like characteristics. Look forward to the greatest thing on earth "Motherhood" with a husband and a loving family. Be happy and Laugh a lot. This is a good time in your life and life as a whole is good. God loves you and find yourself loving him. It's great. Great-Grandmother Mary

The only way you could "loose your period for life" would be if you had a hysterectomy, and I doubt very much you would find a doctor who would be willing to perform this surgery on a 13 year old child. Your body has gone through alot of changes since you were 9 years old. If you feel there is something wrong I suggest having your mom take you to the doctor so that you can have the doctor explain what is going on. (if you've been sexually active you might be pregnant)

dont worry you just have irregular periods. It normal for girls around your age to have irregular periods. =) and you wont stop your period till ur around your 50's which is menopause. all women are different. i started mine when i was 14, and only came a few times out of the year, sometimes it lasted a few days. other times it would last 2 weeks! my mom didnt get hers till she was over 20 years old! she had to ge tput onto birth contorl pills to start hers. all women are differnt and in your case its normal. all of your friends and other girls at school who have their periods are experiencing the same thing. in 3 or 4 years if your periods are still irregular you shoudl talk to your mom abotu getting onto birth contorl pills. to help regulate your period and lessen the severity of your cramps. I was put on them at 17(im 19 now) cause my periods were irregular like yours and i had horrible cramps!. they were so bad i had to stay home from work and school cause they were so painful, they were literally parayzing to me! yikes. Hope you dont have to go through that. But if you do get cramps you should definately buy an electric blanket. (the ones that warm up) and place it on your stomach. Well the pills have been working great for me but i still get slight cramping.

good luck.

You have nothing to be concerned about. if you want some extra reassurance then you should talk to your mom or another close female adult =)

ugh but menopause. pray that you re out of the house when your om gets it! lol my mom went through it 5 years ago and was it hell! she was so bit chy she would yell at me for anything, and she would always complain about hotflashes, and all of this other stuff. but she said she hasnt had a period in 6 years. so yes that is when your period will go away for good! I think id rather still be having periods when im 80 then go through menopause formt he way i saw my mom though......ugh!

That happens as your body changes. You will have long periods that last 5 or 6 days or you will have 2 or 3 days or you will have a little bit coming out or a lot coming out. It just depends on your own body.

Hun,as much as you or any female would like that,it cant happen.Your menstrual cycle cleans out alot of bacteria, and tissue that isnt supposed to be in there. It is sort of its own way of cleaning itself, you should embrace that.I know,i know sometimes i wish i didnt have it but the fact of the matter is,it makes use feel like women, and is a sign we are women.Just embrace it the best you can and enjoy it,because it doesnt last forever!!! Have a good day!

Don't worry yet. Everyone is different. Your period can be affected by stress, poor eating habits, hormonal imbalance, or some underlying medical cause. If you're concerned you should see a gynecologist, a doctor who specializes in the female reproductive system.

No, you are still young.
Are you involved in gymnastics or dance. That will delay them.
Not eating well will stop them.
Medications can also slow down the process.
If you are really worried, talk to your mom and see if it happened to her too. Maybe she can take you to a doctor to make sure you are healthy.
