When I try to save pictures from the web that are in JPG form my computer wants to save them as bitmap. I can not change in the format in the change format window.

Fortunately, it's not hard to change a bitmap to a jpg. Open the image with Microsoft Paint, found in the accessories folder. It will let you save the image as a .JPG

The real answer is Clear your Internet Temporary files by
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files > Tick the option "Delete all offline content" and click OK
Now you will be able to save the image in its original format. Remember, if you convert a image, the image quality will be affected. SO, the first option should be try the solution i said.

If your talking about paint then that's why, you need to download a program called acdsee, photosoftware, to change the format, u nless you have photoshop then you go under save as.
