No, the UN decided to take a more diplomatic approach to the problem. The US and many other countries are against the testing of the bomb, and should N. Korea decide to attack us, we would have many countries that would aid us in a fight against them. This probably wouldn't include Nuclear weapons because the US and other countries agreed to avoid nuclear warfare because of the severe consequences to the entire world's environment. Also, we probably wouldn't need to take that step in the first place. We have missiles that can intercept another missile sent over from another country before it reaches our soil. So I'm not worried. Also, a draft is unlikely because our military is much more advanced than the N. Korean military and we would probably just send missiles and other weapons that can be guided from a guy sitting behind a computer.

I observe which you settle for as certainty besides the fact that the chinese language declare and immediately anticipate that the U.S. is censoring background. That tells volumes approximately you, yet i'll waste my time and tell the certainty besides. The chinese language invaded a rustic and attacked or perhaps murdered United international locations Troops. After that they needed an excuse for their movements. regrettably the US had a coward for a president on the time so we did no longer retaliate. we would desire to continuously have wiped Southeast China off the face of the map while they invaded. the only concern that the U.S. did develop into to bomb bridges that the chinese language have been sending components and ammunition to the North Korean Communists with. The Cowardly slug that infested the White homestead on the time stopped that prepare because of the fact "the different end of the bridge develop into in China". Truman would have stopped many of the chilly conflict proper then and there, or perhaps stopped the Viet Nam conflict earlier it started.

No draft. No war. What makes you think that?
The U.S. is very strong now. It is handling fronts in Iraq and Afghanistan very well. Those are conventional fronts. It could handle another front fairly well if it needed.
North Korea allegedly has the bomb now. A draft is not going to help the U.S. fight a nuclear war. The U.S. would fight nuclear with nuclear.
Watch that old movie called WARGAMES. You'll get the picture.
Good question.

We are stretched too thin as it is militarily speaking. The presidential term is near to closing-pretty much, and the current administration looks incompetent enough as it is. I think the U.S. government will try sanctions and just hope like heck that Russia, China or even Japan take the military route if anyone does. That does not mean that the draft can't be instituted but even Rumsfeld's arrogant butt knows that would be political suicide.

No. The Bush administration seems content with the diplomatic/sanctions route...since nobody else wants North Korea to have nukes either (except Iran).
If we do take action it will probably be to bomb the (bleep) out of them until they understand.

We don't need a draft now. All we need to do is send a nuclear aircraft carrier from the 7th fleet and lob a few missles at the nuke site n. korea has. We need to break them now.

We do not have to draft all our soldiers to Korea. We just have to send a nuclear bomb to them so they have double impact.
