I thank them for helping me get through the day and let them know I really appreciate their intuition/observations.
(We have a guard at work who always senses when I've had enough, and he'll always give me a word of encouragement or flip me off if he thinks I need it. He flips me off if he wants a smile on demand and doesn't get one)
