Sammy,
I sometimes think back, when life was simple, and not complicated. I miss those days so much I cry when I think back at all the little things that made us happy, like just going for a walk. Now it's a BIG deal. First we have to make a gourmet meal, maybe two to please everyone, and I have to wear my favorite jogging suit, and he has to not work the next day, or he'll be tired, and so I have to go alone, and then get a babysitter, and the house has to be perfect before I go............ so sick of it, I just want my simple life back.

My soul mate and I have been married 38 years. We were high school sweethearts. We finished college together, struggled with careers, and started a family. We sent our children off to college, finished paying tuition and walla we are back on our honeymoon again. I love it when we are out and people ask us are we newlyweds. Our love for each other is more deep than when we first were married, and five or ten years from now will be even deeper. We finish each other sentences now, and sometimes know what the other is thinking. He is my lover, my friend, my confidant, all the times we have now are special. The memories good and bad are what have made us a united fortress. We are one, together.

It doesn't have to change. If both of you agree that you will not let life get boring, it won't. I have 14 years of marriage under my belt and 2 children. My wife and I still make time for each other and we still go on dates at least once a month without the kids. Our sex life is just as exciting as ever.

Gawd, I'm trying to think of a singular event that stands alone, but after 29+ years together, there's so many. The wedding (naturally) Getting lost on the way to our honeymoon, and almost having to spend our first night in our mini truck. (we found the place just before we were going to give up). The kids, engaging in her hobbies, and she engaging in mine. Several vacations we really didn't want to end, including this years at the beach. I can't give you just one. There's just too many.

We were married a year and going on our first vacation to the Bahamas with very little money.

Every time we came back to our room we would count our money to see what we could have for dinner....it was usually a pizza. It was the best time.

We can now afford to go anywhere we want without thinking how much things costs and its wonderful....but I still remember our first vacation.

Thanks for bringing that memory back.

The very best time of my married life was waking up in the mornings and seeing the eyes of my beloved. Except for the time when she had to wake me up at 4 in the morning to change my sons diaper. lol. Gosh I love looking into the blue eyes in the morning its such an amazing site you know. most people over look the small things in life but they can truelly be the most rewarding.

Don't have to remember,it still is exciting.I've been married 11yrs now,and time has flew by.It seems like just yesterday.
You need to break up your daily routine, and get out of that comfort zone that you have in your relationship. But do it together as a couple,as this will not cause problems.
Don't get me wrong it's good to have that comfort zone but, every now and then it's good to step outside the box.
Good luck to you

The best time was when our children were born. But, its still great times after 20 years of marriage we still walk holding hands, make out, sit next to each other, and he still walks up to me and looks into my eyes and tells me he thinks I"m beautiful even when I know I look like crap...so now is the best time and tomorrow will be the best time...its all perspective.
