so many people say they don't believe in god ?? yet why is it there are no atheist in the front lines in a war?? and the very ones who claim to be atheist when they get hit or in a fire fight always pray to god for protection,or yell god help me??? our courts and laws protect every scum bag that proclaims Islam , judism, atheism or any other faith, but rule almost every time against christanity,our 10 commandments , prayer in school, or any christian displays , all others are free to so as they wish, including the koran in school and washing their nasty feet in our sinks 20 times a day, yet, who forged this country from nothing and who fights its battles, I am sure soome of our educated idiots will disagree , their education being paid for by the christian majority,forgive me if I sound pissed, because I damned sure am

My guess is that atheists don't believe in an afterlife, so if they get killed, it's actually over. That would be enough to motivate me to find a career that doesn't involve being on the front line. But actually, there are atheists on the front lines. They are much more brave than the believers in heaven. Think about it.

Well I am one that does not believe in god.
Religions are creations of man to control man.
Control people by fear and hate.
I have been in extremely dangerous situations and places and do not pray to god.
If god protected the fighting then why do so many die.
Religion is the most effective method of brain washing there is.
If you use religion as an excuse then it is time to take a good look at just who you are.

I stopped believing in god about the same time I stopped believing in Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny.
I also served six years in the military as a beyond the front line fighter.
Why any adult would believe in any deity from any religion is the real question.
Religious belief equates to ignorance and intolerance.
Oh BTW I have never prayed to a god or called on one to assist me in a time of need.
People of various religious faiths make up the majority of the populace so it just goes that they are going to pay the greater percentage of any educational costs for society. Many people of religious belief and faith are that way out of tradition and history, a very large percentage of them even though claiming affiliation to one sect/faith or another don't even believe in the god that claim to follow.
And now my rant:
Christians don't even follow the god that they claim to believe in and practice polytheism and clam that its monotheism.
My take on western religion:
Christians - Cult of the dead
Islam - Religion of poverty and ignorance
Judaism - Religion of despair
Banning/Outlawing religion is one of the few things that the communists got right.

Umm nicely i've got self belief interior the lifeless of evening God and Goddess, they dont truly care if I make errors....as long as I dont reason harm to nature, which i could never do because of the fact i'm vegetarian and that i admire the Earth =)

If you believe in God, why are you so angry? Shouldn't you have the "peace that passes all understanding?" Why the rant?
In your military position, didn't you receive sensivitivy training or anger managment classes?

About 99% of people don't REALLY believe in God, they are just faking it so they can get into heaven if they are wrong. If you REALLY believe in God, you live a pious life and do God's work because there is nothing else that really matters.

I believe everyone believes in God somewhere deep inside them. Some are just so messed up that they say they don't and live like they don't. It says in the Bible that "even the devils believe and tremble".

A lot, when they are at their weakest moments and need something to get them through it . Then ...if and when that passes, they forget and go on with their usual ways, until they are vulnerable again.
