Alexandre Gustave Eiffel for the Paris exposition of 1889 and construction was completed in 1889 the architect Stephen Suavest drew the plans for the design and it is 954 feet tall and 1052 feet with the antenna on top . The Eiffel Tower was a eye sore to most of the french at the time of its construction and was considered to be an obstruction and was thought to interfere with the flight and migration of birds .
