In most cases such as yourself; you are uncomfortable with who you are in this stage of your life. People who accept themselves, good or bad, are able to accept others as well. Those who wish to learn and grown find this concept easy to adapt to without problems. Those who are stonewallers, filled with fear, and narrow in experience or willingness to explore, invalidate the experience of life and the gifts that come with it. Everyone is uncomfortable with someone else. Its just a question of who is willing to be the bigger person.

well it could be the way you were raised that plays a BIG part on most cases like yours. i have been raised around them my entire life. i have a uncle who just recently passed away that was gay. from just looking at him you would have never guessed he was gay plus he had a wife and 3 kids you would have never thought he was gay at all. most people get offended by them, or they were raised to believe that it should be a man and woman not 2 of the same sex, in which as you get older you offend and or feel uncomfortable a lot faster and easier, when a situation that you are in includes a gay couple or a single gay person. there is nothing to worry about they don't bite or will they hurt you in any way shape or form. just take the time to get to know them and understand why or what they are all about. you maybe uncomfortable but just because they are gay does not mean they are not human they just choose to be who they really feel they are.

Gay people make you feel uncomfortable because it shakes your tiny world up. It reminds you that the world does not fit into a nice, neat little box that you've conveniently placed all that makes you comfotable inside. Gays remind you that not everyone is identacle or clones. That every person is an individual and that upsets you.
I suggest that if you are so uncomfortable about or around gays, you ask yourself that question: Why?
It's not gays who make you uncomfortable, it's yourself.

because you probably grew up in an environment where there were no gay people and where such a thing might not have been seen or heard of. But maybe its just a funny feeling inside of you that indicates a gender liking the same gender..no problem!

Because you are either ignorant, intolerant or insecure in your sexuality. You can help yourself by becoming educated or involved. Contact your local PRIDE committee for suggestions where you can be put to use.
As far as insecurity goes, I always suggest people take a good look in the mirror and be honest about your attractiveness. Men, for the most part who are attractive to women, have no appeal to other men. Most women who attract men, are not attractive to other women. There are exceptions to this of course, but I'm betting you have nothing to worry about.

Maybe because your sub-conscious is telling you something. We don't mean to make you uncomfortable, which brings me to a question for you....if you are so uncomfortable then why are you here? :)

Becuase you are threatened by gay people. If you were not threatened, then you would not care. So, something either happened to you when you were a kid, or maybe you are afraid that gay men will beat you up.
Or, becuase you are afraid that you will like what you see.

It could be that you're just wound to tight. Or it could be that you are secretly homophobic. Or maybe you're secretly homosexual, and worry that the old adage, "takes one to know one," is true, and you'll be discovered.
In any event, spend more time getting to know some gay people, and pretty soon you'll realize we aren't all that different from you.

Perhaps you've been protected to the extent of brain-washing. People may not like to be gay themselves, but others have their right to feel as they wish.

Because they think the world owes them something, and they don't even realize it! It consumes who they are, it's no longer "My friend Jane", but my "Gay friend Jane". They want to be treated like everyone else, but they flash their business in everyones face. I don't introduce or even tell people, soon after meeting them, Hi my name is Jennifer and I sleep with men.... When you meet someone gay, within no time at all, you know because they tell you. If they don't want it to matter to people, they shouldn't make it an issue. Sure Sure you get the dumb rednecks who hate gay people, but society in general, doesn't give a ****. We are just fed up with them, and don't want to be around them, because they automatically judge us, by automatically thinking that we judge them. Wow that was a lot to say in such a short statement!
