Well, this question depends on a lot of variables. First, it sounds like you only have a couple of weeks to wait until the new insurance kicks in....some people have to wait that long just to be able to get in to see their doctor. Second there are some common reasons you might be experiencing this issue. If you are nursing your milk ducts can clog or enlarge causing ths sort of phenomenon. Also many women experience benign cystic issues in their breasts that could also cause this sort of problem. You want to pay attention to whether you are having any kind of secretion from the nipple besides milk, if you are nursing. Secreations can be indicative of other issues. You could have an infection of some kind depending on the location. If it is painful that is actually a good sign, because cancer is often not painful and silent which makes it more difficult to detected, a raised place that is easily detected and painful is a sign that you might be dealing with something more simple. Either way I would get some Ojibwa Tea (some times called Assaic or Tea of Life) and drink it, until you can get to the doctor. I had a tumor and drank this tea for six weeks and the tumor disappeared. You can get it at the Village Herb Shop in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The guy there will mail it to you.

If your new insurance takes effect on Nov 1, a few weeks isn't going to make any difference except in your anxiety level. Call the new insurance company and ask if they cover pre-existing conditions. Their customer service agent should be able to tell you. If they do, (I believe most will these days) then make the appointment ASAP. If they say they don't and you only have to wait until Nov 1, then make the appointment for Nov 1.

As long as you don't see a doctor before you are covered under your new insurance you should be covered I believe. You may just want to wait it out till the end of the month.

That's a tough question. As a nurse, I want to tell u that u need to go to a dr, but I also know how the insurance companies r. I think, if it were me, I would get it checked just because I would not be able to stand not knowing.

from a medical stand point u should go asap, but i can see ur insurance concerns, if it is not painful u could wait but then again early detection is the key to successful treatment outcomes. talk to someone who knows the policy of the new company coverage for pre existing conditions maybe u will be covered.....

If money outweighs your health then yes, wait it out. If you value your health, make an appointment to see a physician. There are generally free clinics in almost every neighborhood in the United Staes too. So, if you can swallow your pride, slide into one of these clinics, tell them you are not working, and they should seeyou for little or no fee.
