On the way home from work today. I had the cruise control set at 67 mph. I started up a hill and the transmission slipped. (or seemed to slip) The RPMs went down and back up really fast, a few times up that hill. Then nothing. I started up another hill and the same thing happened. I slowed my speed and cut the cruise off and nothing happened again on the rest of my trip. What could be wrong?

i own a repair shop, and what it done was a normal function, your not supposed to use cruise control on real steep grades, all of them will do this if there on a real steep hill it should be OK,i wouldn't worry about it for now i think it was normal thing for it to do,good luck i hope this help,s.

cruise control and hill upgrade caused your vehicle to downshift out of overdrive and TCC lock up then re upshifted.
