Wait until he finds out about the girlfriend on his own before you do anything. Even if it's true and they break up, he may resent you for being the bearer of bad news.

If they *do* break up, give it some time, and then talk to him about how you feel. I wouldn't rush right over there and spill your guts when he's angry and hurt. That may be more than he can handle.

But once he's had some time to recuperate, then he might be even more interested in what you have to say. Good luck with this situation. . .It's rough to care about someone and not be able to tell them.

In your situation, I think it's best to be cautious. The worst thing to do would be to tell him his girlfriend is cheating on him and then tell him you love him. That would just make him defensive and mad at you. From my experience in this area of confession, I would suggest that you take what you want to say and write it down. Organize your thoughts. Because if it does accidently burst out of you one day, it should be clear and focused. My guess is that he will probably catch his girlfriend sooner or later. In which case, be ready to be a true friend to him. Let him talk to you about it. After he has had time to grive about it and calm down, say a couple of weeks or months (it will take more than a few days!!), try to build on your feelings. Get comfortable with him until you know that you both are ready to date. Try to share the same wave-length and then inch your way into a deep convorsation. Make sure he isn't surrounded by friends. Chances are he won't tell you how he really feels in front of his pals. Good Luck! Tell me how it goes.

The rule of thumb I always go by is don't screw with relationships. What his girlfriend is doing on the side has nothing to do with the relationship that you two have. If you like him, wait until he is single (and ready for another relationship) before you tell him that you like him, unitl then stay his friend, and if it is the case that his girlfriend is cheating on him, a friend is what he's really going to need.

Do you know for sure that his girl is cheating? Have you seen it first hand? I don't think now is the time to tell him how you feel. It isn't right to do that to his girlfriend. Would you want it to happen to you. You don't know for sure that she is cheating on him and if she is cheating on him throwing your feelings in the mix is just going to complicate things.

I wouldn't tell him how I feel because he has a girlfriend, and if you tell him she's cheating on him then ask 'em out he would be like "What the heck? Did you make that up so I would go out with you?"

Tell him, he may dig you too. Forget this other chick. Fight for your man. There wouldn't be anything to lose. If he's worth you liking him for 3 years, he deserves the truth about your feelings.

You should definitely tell him how you feel. Friendship should be about expressing your feelings and thoughts towards one another. I would say, write him a letter.

If his gf is cheating on him, then it is just a matter of time..Don't do anything,,,,,,Wow ,you have carried a torch for a long time....Things will work out for a reason in time.....What's a little longer? Especially if it could be in your favor ?

Stay out of it...if he breaks up with her, then you can tell him how you feel. Until then, keep quiet because he's not going to break up with her just because you like him and it would just make things awkward.
