dhwtaz, I've done my homework! The journalist in question, Terry Lloyd, worked for ITN in the UK. He and his colleagues were in a Kuwaiti registered vehicle that was clearly marked as being a 'Press' car. The official version of the incident is that the vehicle was caught in crossfire between Iraqi and American troops; the real version is now coming out due to an inquest being conducted here in the UK.
Mr Lloyd and his companions had been attacked by some Iraqi troops in a pickup truck, during this attack Mr Lloyd had been wounded. He remained in his own Press car, which was forced to drive ahead of the Iraqi vehicle and another vehicle into which two of his colleagues had been forced at gunpoint. This 'convoy' then came into contact with a US Abrams tank and there was 'an exchange of fire' between the pickup and the tank - there is strong evidence to suggest that the tank engaged the vehicles first. The heavy automatic weapons on the tank destroyed both the pickup, the marked Press car and the remaining vehicle. Both Mr Lloyd and the driver of the press car, another journalist, escaped from the car; Mr Lloyd was helped to a minibus that pulled up shortly after the firing had stopped and it was in this vehicle, which was taking the injured for medical help, he was killed when the tank opened fire again.
His colleague had managed to take shelter in a ditch by the side of the road. He attempted to signal to the US tank crew, and stood up with his hands held in the air, but had to dive back into the ditch when they opened fire again; the tank was approximately 100-200 yards from the vehicles and the ditch.
The sources I have listed below are respectable British news sources. I did try very hard to find a US source to list as well but, shamefully, the media on that side of the Atlantic has chosen to ignore this story!

i'm not a muslim. yet in a pluralistic society like yours it would look which you recognize the transformations between yourselves. Then vote into regulation and enforce it the reality that Sunni's that break the regulation would be tried in front of a Sunni courtroom domicile. And and a similar element for Shai. And if a Sunni does harm to a Shai that there be a courtroom run by making use of a foreigner who does business enterprise there. which will degree out justice. additionally bear in recommendations that for the time of accordance to the Bible the 1st international potential is the place Iraq is there now. And that replaced into long formerly Islam. this is only too undesirable they can't only understand one yet another as brothers and consider out to get an prolonged. And in Daniel's time the Iraqi's have been one those that weren't afraid to permit foreigners to be in government. They reognized information whilst they observed it whether Iraqi or not. this is the way the society must be in a pluralistric society. you're stunning divide and triumph over is misguided. it particularly is the way of a corrupt government that seeks to serve itself and not the human beings. a real government might empower the human beings to regulate the government so as that justice would be meted out to all. And the excellent thank you to verify any style of justice is that the communities be accountalbe to their friends that are in a similar non secular sect. using fact i particularly do have faith in the places of Iran and Iraq and interior Sunni and Shai are a those that want peace and not conflict. That want desire and not melancholy. and those are the targets that are complication-unfastened to guy. stable success.

Journalists in Iraq is one of the biggest enemies the US soldiers face there. There slanted reporting gives aid and comfort to the enemy. Journalists should never be permitted in a war zone.
I was in Saudi Arabia during the Scud missle attacks there in 1991. An idiotic journalist was on top of the International Hotel broadcasting the target areas the Scuds were hitting. Saddam did'nt need a spotter, the news media did the job.

Does it really matter? Bullets and bombs are not racial and kill everyone equally. They kill friend and foe. The only advantage of bombs is that we can kill and mutilate more people with less work. How many hospitals were destroyed, how many schools, how many tiny villages? Journalists thrive on war and if anything escalate the animosity with polemics....Do you know know of Dickie Chapelle...a journalist for National Geographic....hardly a magazine known for fostering war...she was killed in Vietnam. Americans are damned fair...we are not race conscious when killing people....look at the equity of My Lai, and the Japanese were utmost politically correct as they murdered thousands of Chinese during the Invasion of Manchuria, and one of my favorites is the genocide of about 1/3rd of the entire population of Cambodia...about 4 million or so...and I just came back from the border of Myanmar where the Karen people are killed daily....so what is your point?

I'll bet they laid in wait for that journalist to show up...So would you then call that premeditated murder? Or do you think it was second degree, he just happened by and they decided to take him out.....how about if the ref in a hockey game gets injured during the game.....should we charge the players with assault? Going into a war zone is not exactly a safe place to be. He opted to go there and now you call it murder? A bit judgmental since you haven't even been there.....
