365 days have come and gone
still we're here without you
and it just feels so wrong.
it's like we're living in 2 worlds
here on earth, alone
and with you in heaven, that's home.
but we don't know how to get there just yet
because i guess our time's not through
just know that when we can
we'll find our way to you.
and tho we cried and couldn't understand
when the angels came for you
we soon found peace in god's promised plan
for the heaven he had in store for you.
see, god couldn't wait to take you home
to show you everything
you'd never known.
to watch you run
on streets of gold
to see you marvel
at things untold.
to watch you
sing, and laugh, and play
yes, god chose that special day.
and when OUR time is finished
and through;
just watch--
we'll be smiling as god brings us home,
To You......

i wrote this just a few days ago on the one year anniversary of my brother's death. i was 16, he was 18. he was handicapped, and he could never walk, or talk, or see, or play or anything. so that's why i make it sound like he was a little kid, because basically he was.

It's yours, and sorry to hear about your brother, my only brother died when I was 14 and he was 17. Life is strange, some times we find relief in things that others make us feel guilty for and some times we feel guilty for the relief we find in things. I know that this pain you feel will never totally go away, but writing is a good way to get it out and figure it out. And if there is a heaven and he is up there, then he is watching out for you and keep this in mind there are things you learned from him that you must keep with you. I think you will, and you are doing a good job of memorializing him.

I think that you are down (sad or upset even dissapointed). But the poem is written well.Every day people are dying wheather we notice or not but while we are a life try to help each other and make full use of our life by doing good things and pray to god.

So sorry for your loss. I love to wrote poetry and yet I have never concerned myself with whether smeone else likse it or not. To me poetry is like your own ownership of feelings that no one else has to understand. It's what your feeling, you own it so be proud of it. I liked your poem and am proud of you for sharing it, but you don't need anyones approval for something that comes from your heart.
