Where is the secret service?

2006-10-09 14:15:53 · 13 answers · asked by Billie 5 in Politics & Government Politics

After telling Maher that he and Te-RAY-zuh went to Vermont to celebrate her birthday, Kerry and the condescending comic had the following exchange:

Maher: “You could have went [sic] to New Hampshire and killed 2 birds with one stone.”

Kerry: “I could have gone to 1600 Pennsylvania and killed the real bird with one stone.” [delighted applause and laughter from the crowd]

this was on Bill Mahrer show on HBO last weekend

Cuz he has the media on his side. If Bush did such a thing, the story would go on and on forever. "Tonight! New developments!" and "Questions linger..." and "More questions than answers being raised..." and "This story just won't go away..." from the people who are responsible for keeping it going and going until they've extracted some Republican blood. They're sharks in a feeding frenzy when a Republican is in the water.

Please use "additional details" and tell us what he said. I missed it.
Thanks for the additional details. Sounds like a one-liner that he and Maher decided beforehand to use on the show. Both are a couple of nitwits. Just another example of the Democrats raging hatred of GWB, a better man than either one of those bozos could ever hope to be.

Threatened him how ? By calling him names? Bush is a much bigger man than John Kerry,,,,...Kerry continues to prove that every day.......And to think that some people wanted him to be Pres????That is scarry...........Can you just picture Kerry calling a Country a name if he were pres??? They would just come back and say, "I know you are, but what am I?" LOL.
Geting back to your question though, why would he need the secret service...What did John Kerry say to threaten Pres. Bush.?...... .I can't believe I missed it............

There was no threat or even an implied threat.

"I could have ..."

Could have. Read these words several times slowly to yourself. Do you fully understand that could have is not actually trying to or wanting to or doing so?

Regardless of how you're trying to present this, when taken in context the sentence made by Kerry merely implies a joke.

Personally I think JK is a lying jerk. I hope he wins the primary since it would be fun to watch him get beat again. I too would like proof that he did do this.

well, it was an odd comment for him to make, wasn't it? still, it wasn't like jesse helms telling clinton not to come to NC 'cause he couldn't 'guarantee his safety.' and that went untouched. so, kerry's expressed wish probably rates lower than helm's direct threat.

Darn I missed that one. What did he say or do to make you think it was a threat? George would kick Kerry's azz in a heartbeat. lol
