Because, the real ones anyhow, have a great desire to show the world the truth. They have the desire to get the story, no matter the danger to themselves, and they should be commended.
It is people who actually go to the front lines and report the truth about what is going on, that we need more of.

It is the desire to be involved in adventure. That is human nature.
The same goes with soldiers, fire fighters, police officers, etc. (Of course not all of them. Some are just doing these jobs for money.)
