For my science fair project, i'm going to see how low the water temperature can be and still "cook" ramen in exactly 3 minutes.
The only problem is...
I need some way to determine exactly when a noodle is either undercooked, or just not cooked at all...

since its a science fair project, I dont think just eating the noodle to see if it's cooked would be a good way to measure..

One way to judge if it's cooked enough is to weigh uncooked ramen then cook them just right, weigh them again and see what percentage weight gain has taken place as a result of water absorption. Then you'd have an objective way to judge whether they were cooked enough.

maybe you can try a pull test? pull to see how long it stretches before it breaks. there should be a difference between cooked ad uncooked.

hit it with a spoon, if there is a cracking noise, its under cooked, if u see a bit of black, u burnt it( just guessing, hate cooking)

If the noodles stick to the wall, then they are done.
