In a song I heard a line stating "The whole byrdgang is here, like Curt Kobain was here". I assume they wanted to attack him but why would they care unless he did something to African American's or Rappers in general, I wonder. Was Kurt Cobain racist?

He was FAR from racist. Kurt did not discriminated anyone. That it a small part of way he was so great he was very vocal on his views of racists and homophobes. And what song was that anyways? He never did anything against rappers or African Americans. Strange choice of words, but they must mean something else.

I've read lots about him and I don't think he was racist. He was so into the Seattle grunge scene and very passionate about the type of music he likes. That doesn't make him racist any more than a rapper not liking Nirvana.
