Actually, look more into Walt Disney's connection to the Mason's !! The level of subliminal mention of the Divine-Feminine is more pronounced in films like Snow White, Cinderella, Fantasia...
Disney's STUDIO was pretty strict... no moustaches, beards, etc...
Alice in Wonderland IS a twisted story, but the author was Lewis Carrol. He was known to be a heavy drug user: the size-changing mushrooms, wacked-out tea party, and smoking caterpillar are referring to his own use.
Disney's illustrators have always had a habit of sneaking in naughty bits and other silliness... I have some ancient cels from a family friend who left Disney in the '60's.

Sorry. You're way off. Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland. He might very well have done absinthe or something. But the book is wonderful. If you can read - and I have my doubts - I recommend it - it is a classic work of children's literature. Walt Disney was a very precise man and a genius who didn't need drugs. People didn't drop acid in the 1930's and 40's - it hadn't even been invented yet.
I think you're the one who's been dropping acid. Man.

They did do musrooms as well as & most importantly opium which is what Lewis Carrol was on 24/7. He wrote the story for alice a twelve year old girl he was in love with. I agree a great piece of literature & decent cartoon. You should try to find a copy of American Mcgees alice a computer game from a few years back very trippy.

the book was written by Lewis Carrol, and yes, he took a lot of drugs, which is kinda funny because he wrote the book for the daughter of some friends. If you read the book you'll notice even more refernces, since disney tends to tame their stories for the kids

I think I heard somewhere the movie was about politics. Maybe there were drug law issues at the time. But I do admit that I was a little scared of that movie when I was young; there's just something creepy about the characters and the setting.

Well, yes, kinda. I mean, Alice taking that mysterious Eat Me potion and experiencing body enlargement and shrinkage is quite trippy, not to mention the hookah-smoking caterpillar and the stoned Cheshire Cat. And I always thought the Tea Party people took something funny with their drink.
If you want to watch something freaked-out, go see the 'Upendi' scene in Lion King 2: Simba's Pride. I always wondered how Raffiki conjured up that fantasy love boat world. And listen carefully to Filmore's "Organic Fuel" invitation in Cars. And go watch Pinnochio or Dumbo's p*ss-drunk dream sequences in their respective movies. And check out the insidous meaning behind Snow White and her Seven Dwarves (Heroin and its seven side-effects). You'll find a lot of alcohol and substance abuse examples in Disney movies, if you know where to look.
Disney gets bad...! :)

Actually, the author of the Book that Alice in Wonderland was taken from, namely one Lewis Carroll, was known to use halucinogenic substances and that influence is evident in several of his works. (If you thought Alice in wonderland was trippy, try reading Jabberwokey, now THAT is disturbed)

Nope. It wasn't even written by Walt Disney.
If anyone was on drugs, it was Lewis Carol.
