I'm doing a report to why incest is wrong. i knew why incest between parent and child is wrong. it causes mental and emotional syndrones or something like that to children raped by parents.
now what came to my thought is some might ask, "What difference does it make for two people of same blood relation to be a problem than those not related?" I knew that births by incest can be caused of birth defecits, retardation and few others.
what other things you may know why incest is wrong.
also why do people make movies and books with incest relations?

Actually, incest itself doesn't really cause those things. People who are in the same family carry the same illness, genetic problems, and defects in their genes. So, one case of incest will not cause all of those things, but the repeated incest will. We are made to reproduce with those who have different genes to make a stronger baby. When the british royalty were all marrying their cousins, etc, it didn't dilute out the bad genes enough.
Incidentally, we are also drawn to those who will produce the best offspring with your genes.

I would never do incest because I think it's gross. However I really don't care what people do in their private life. If they are both over 18 well that's their business. People marry their cousins all the time. The only thing to worry about would be possible birth defects in the children. If two adults are related to each other and want to be together there really isn't a reason to stop them. I wouldn't recommend they have kids though.

Incest is one of the things we are biologically wired to go "eeeeew." when we hear about it.
Those who practice incest not only ignore the potential for reinforcing "bad" genes and increasing the likelihood of malformities and congenital duseases, but flaut the inborn aversion to this behavior.
They earn our contempt possibly as much for our awareness of their awareness of wrongness as for the wrongness itself...

God gave us a "moral compass" inside us, to understand what
is wrong and right. Not only is it morally wrong to have sex with
a relative, the chances of something being wrong with that baby
is pretty high. Their are millions of people on this earth.....why
choose a relative, by blood or marriage. Or, a neighbor who is
married. There has to be BOUNDARIES that must not be
crossed, or living in a "civilized" world, will not be so civilized.

Morally Wrong! Emotionally Damaging, and just plain sick. The media makes this, to inform and show how much it can screw up someones life, or it's a true story.
