Carbon, in its elemental form (as well as in CO2 and other compounds) is inorganic. Water is inorganic as well, though all living things need it in order to survive.

I would say that amino acids are pretty abundant (because they are contained in every living organism on the planet... and are the building blocks for all proteins), glycine being the most abundant amino acid. Maybe next I would have to say nucleic acids because all living things have nucleic acids as well. Maybe next I'd go with phospholipids because cellular membranes have a phospholipid bi-layer to keep the cell separated from the external environment. Glucose is a monosaccharide, a compound which makes up polysaccharides, it is a simple sugar made by plants and used by other living organism to sustain life. It is very common. Cellulose (a complex sugar) makes up the cell walls of plants and so that would be a very abundant organic sugar on the planet... because it is also put into the ground and broken down by microbes to form rich soil and other compounds.. I think oil is made from the degradation of plant matter over many years.

Cellulose Cellulose is the structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes. Some species of bacteria secrete it to form biofilms. Cellulose is the most common organic compound on Earth. About 33 percent of all plant matter is cellulose (the cellulose content of cotton is 90 percent and that of wood is 40-50 percent). It's NOT water - water, in chemistry terms is inorganic as it contains no carbon - only substances containing carbon are organic. The least abundant - who knows ? Not being smart, but there are millions of organic compounds, probably lots we haven't found, examined, categorised and evaluated yet so I can't answer that one.

Nobody has mentioned lipids. Just consider that the body is made out of cells, and all cellular organelles (except ribosomes) are made out of lipids (plasma membrane, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, nuclear membrane). But I don't have any facts or sources to back it up. Proteins would be second in my list. For plants there is no doubt that the most abundant are hydrocarbons (again, think in the cell walls, i.e cellulose).
