She might simply not be allowed to because of the hospital policy. If she said everything looked great and then you found out things weren't great, that would be pretty horrible! I'm sure, however, that if she detected some sort of problem she would have sent you right over to your doctor right away to make a diagnosis. We had a baby with an obvious defect and the technician said he couldn't tell us much, but we were instructed to go straight to our obstetrician.
Believe me, if they sensed there was a problem, they wouldn't keep you in the dark for a whole week - they'd get right to the bottom of it.
It's east to worry, but try not to. If all your other tests came out good, you hould try to relax.

I hate it when techs do this. Rules have changed over the years and it could be that for whatever reason, this tech has been instructed not to discuss anything. The same thing happened to me with my ultrasound in California, I had to wait for the doctor appt. But after a recent one here in Indiana and the tech was happy to talk to me throughout. Don't worry, but if you can't get your mind off of it, call your doctor and ask to have your appointment moved, or at least have the doctor call you about the ultrasound. You should not have to worry, and your doctor won't want you to be upset. So call and find out now that all is fine.

I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my 3rd with all 3 babies the ultrasound tec ALWAYS SAYS get the full results from your doctor. They have however every time told me the baby's size weight and length and if i was measuring big or small. The only pregnancy that i had where there was a concern the tec told me she needed to consult with my doctor before i left. Then my doctor came to see me told me a tube in my sons head was measuring too large. They wanted to do a amino it was all done that day before i even left. So from my experience "ONLY" when there was a problem it was dealt with that day i was told what was wrong. JUST CALL your doctor tell them your worried they will answer your questions. My son dose has issue even now he's 10.5 in speach thearpy and has a special ed teacher.

I have had three pregnacies, this is my 3rd,Im due feb23.I have had problems with ALL of my ultrasound techs. They think they know everything, the truth is,theyre taught to run the machine, thats it! If you have concerns, please, all you have to do is call your doctors office and explain to someone that the tech has extremely made you upset and worried and now youre panicking, and that the only thing that will calm you is speaking with your DR. Tell them to have your DR,not a nurse to call you that it will only take a minute,Ive got a response anytime this has happened to me, Next time a tech says anything,I would put them in their place,Been there, done that, never heard anything again. That makes me so mad when they think they have the right to say anything. Call the office first thing in the morning, you wont be eased until you do,and thats what your dr is for.My last pregnacy,I lost 12 pounds and my baby weighed 6lb 7oz. Weight loss or gain from the mother isnt really that important as long as your not so underweight your malnurished before and during pregnacy, give me an update please, let me know how you and baby are!

It just means she's not allowed to advise you on your baby's condition. There have probably been too many lawsuits because technicians voiced an incorrect opinion that the patient took as gospel. Worrying isn't doing you or your baby any good. If there was cause for concern, I'm sure your doctor would have wanted to see you already. No news, in this case, is good news. Relax!

When I went in for my ultrasound the tech told me that everything was fine with my baby, In fact the Dr didn't say anything about the ultrasound. I would get a second opinion.

Don't worry. The techs are not allowed to tell you anything, even if everything is normal. They can get in huge trouble. Everything is probably fine, so don't stress. I felt like that too, cause I was asking questions, but nooooo, it sucks, but hte dr will tell you everything, and I am sure he will say its all good.

This is really important, I you feel that something is going on you have to ask directly to your doctor, dont expect his call, or maybe you can ask a second opinion, go to another doctor, remember that you are talking about your baby, good luck.

They are not allowed to say anything. Whether it be good or bad. You have to talk to the doctor. She is only there to do the ultrasound that is it.
