im having pains in my side as if i have been running and have gotten a painful stitch in my side....it comes and goes,not very ten minutes or even every hour but i do get a few time during the day and it started about 2-3 days ago...is it possible that they could be or are the beginings of contractions.im 36 weeks pregnant?thanks!!

i would call the doctor but i dont want to make a fuse over nothing.i just want to know if any of you have experienced this before or have known or heard of it happening to anyone else.thanks again

Contractions generally are not just on one side, but it certainly could be early labor. Sometimes you will have contractions for a while and then they go away, this is your body's way of getting ready for labor. When the contractions are 5 minutes apart and you can't walk or talk through them, that's the time to head to the hospital. Also if your water breaks or if you are having alot of bleeding (more than a period), then go to the hospital. Some bleeding called bloody show is normal, it is from the cervix opening.

could be or could just be some braxton- hicks which can be very painfull. If you can't stop worring call your OB that's what he gets paid for, it is hard enough to get sleep at this point you don't need to be worried about if it is labor or not!!

i get them and it could be just braxton- hicks C, but it would be good to talk to your doc
