AVERAGE.
and, just in case

mode- how many times the number occurs
range- the difference between the largest and smallest number
median- when in numerical order, the middle number.

Mean is the average of all set of numbers, for example. 1+7+9+3= 20
Mean=5.

Ex:

You have the following data:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

add them all up........

1 + 2 + 3 + 4+ 5 = 15

Divide by the number of numbers (In this case, there are five numbers)

15 divided by 5 is three!

If you're talking about the mean in statistics (or math in general), you add up all the numbers you're given and divide that total by how many numbers there are.
