Try to think of the many good things in your life.....as in 'count your blessings'.
Exercise is good, even a brisk walk will help.
Fool your body by smiling......I have heard that a smile , even though it is forced is good .
And remember to look UP......sad doesn't do UP.
Someone on TV, who was talking about depression, said that he tells his patients to look at chimneys when they are leaving because looking up helps.
I heard that bit (sad doesn't do up) years ago, long before he said it so it must work. Try it and see if it helps. Can't hurt to try..

Take yourself away from anyone that makes you feel acutely depressed. Even if you love them and feel you need them. You don't.
Counselling and antidepressants together are very helpful for more chronic depression when you can't quite put your finger on why you're down. It wasn't until a few months after counselling that it just occurred to me the fog had cleared.
Lately i felt terrible again after a very destructive fling with a man who left me feeling an inch big and broken hearted. I took control and decided never to see him again. knowing he's the past makes me feel free! I never have more fun than with my real mates. I don't have to try. Don't mope. Get out and spend time with people who are totally on your side. They're the best tonic. piss around and be silly.

Imagine going to your fridge and getting a nice ripe fresh lemon. You cut the lemon into pieces and the juices are so fresh and watery. You lift a piece of the lemon to your mouth and squeeze it so the juice pours in and you can taste it. It is so sour and you start to pucker..................
is your mouth watering? That is how powerful your mind is!
Think of what you want; for example, you want to be happy? Say "I AM HAPPY AND FULL OF POSITIVE ENERGY!" to yourself for 5 minutes 10 times a day. Set a timer and keep track of all 10 times and I guarantee you will change your own mind in no time at all. As soon as any negative thought comes to your mind refuse it and replace it with your saying. This is called mind control and it is awesome! After 3 weeks this will be automatic and you will be amazed!
Good luck sweetie!

Think of a funny moment in your life that made you happy and focus on that. Life can't be that bad that you can't pick yourself up again. Go out and have some fun, don't dwell on your situation. Find things to do with family or friends. Treat yourself to something you haven't in a long time. Cheer up! :-)

Start small Olga.
Define the problem causing the depression if it is specific - quantify it then solve it when you have it pinned down.
A step at a time. There are no quick, lasting cures.

Go ride a bicycle around a block or two, or a mile or two. Go to the country and walk some nature trails.

Be proactive. Eat chocolate while walking around the block...seriously! Whatever it takes to pull you out of the slump, Sweetie. Just remember: it is temporary.
