What are some good horror movies appropiate for 9 through 11 year olds?

I think the scariest movies for halloween especially kids that age are the classic monster movies from the 50s and 60s...
Them!
The Thing
The Brain that wouldn't die
The original Godzilla King of the monsters
These are just a few that are really creepy but not gory or do they have any profanity.
I think being in black and white actually makes them even more creepy.

Ghostbusters (1, not 2 - there are some creepy moments in 2)

Frankenstein (the original 1931 - not scary by modern standards but very atmospheric)

There was something called Saturday the 14th that was a spoof of the Friday movies...it's harmless.
The Blair Witch Project - that might be okay, not gory, no nudity, some bad words, but real scary.

Beetlejuice. Its a little risky but I love that movie. Check it out. Its a fun Halloween movie.

Oh I remember a good one that my parents used to watch with us kids. Charlie Brown and the Giant pumpkin or something like that. We loved it.
